This Too Shall Pass

We’ve heard of this proverb so many times and it is very phenomenal. When we are on cloud 9 and living our life with contentment and fulfillment a storm hits us and sends us back to reality.

“Everything is temporary; Emotions, thoughts, people, and scenery. Do not get attached, just flow with it.”

The only thing permanent in life is change. After every second, minute, hour, day, or even year life changes. Our mood, our feeling the materialistic world around us in which we are living everything changes and we have to accept it cause things change with time. We can’t hold onto something forever we have to let it go if it is not meant for us. We are mortals even though our life is not permanent so what makes us think that things will stay with us forever if we think like this then we are leading our life with a false delusion. If happiness is short-lived so is sadness. When we go through this reality of life which involves changes we automatically gain enough sense of how to accept changes and we start thinking above it this adds a layer of simplicity to things This only happens with experience some people don’t get this even at the age of 50 while some even get it at the age of 16 cause it depends upon their experiences with life. Emotions become easier to accept and we witness them instead of reacting to them. We shouldn’t get stuck in the moments of life when we already know “ this too shall pass”. The most beautiful thing about life is we don’t know what is the second stop for us this sounds cliché but it is the truth. We don’t know our expiration date so we just have to live in the moment even if it is not above our expectations cause we won’t be able to know the real value of happiness until we’ve been at our lowest. The non-permanence in life teaches us so many lessons. Instead of regretting our bond with someone that was short-lived, we should feel gratitude that it has taught us something.
